Birr is located in the centre of Ireland and nestled within miles of rolling countryside, mountains, meandering rivers and stunning landscapes.
Part of Ireland's Hidden Heartlands, a trip to Birr is the perfect way to get off the beaten track and explore the Midlands' fascinating history and unique beauty.
Turning back the clock to the elegance of the Georgian age, Birr has stayed true to its 18th and 19th Century character with its tree lined malls and avenues around formal and well planned blocks of easy on the eye street vistas. Birr is a haven of olde worlde elegance with cafés and boutiques filled with character.
